October 11th, 2008. 4:24:25 Second marathon. I didnt do as well as I expected but it was a great challenge. The organization was good except for some little things: the mile markers were very low and you couldnt see them from far which made it hard to pace yourself, the finish line was crowded and confusing, you didnt know where to go and there wasnt enough place outside the finish line fences for you and your cheering crowd to hang out; we had beers in the parking lot. There are a lot of hills on that course so it was hard specially at the end. We ran through some rough neighborhoods and there was even a drunk guy with a 40 in his hand cheering us on. The crowds cheering us were bigger than in VA Beach so that was a plus. |

September 30th, 2007. 0:23:15 My mom survived breast cancer so when the gym I was going to told me about this benefit 5k I decided to raise some money for research. I only had 2 weeks to raise money but I managed to raise 200-300$ for it. It was nice to run in the middle of downtown Montreal. |

April 22nd, 2007. 2:03:49 My first real race. The course is on St-Helene Island and Jean-Drapeau Park. So the final kilometers are around the roller coasters at laRonde amusement park. My ankles were hurting so much that everytime I'd pass over Jacques-Cartier bridge and saw these roller coasters, I'd remember this glorious pain.
